Number the teachers

 Number teachers consecutively in the alternative name field

This function assigns a three-digit number to all teachers for whom no number was entered in the alternative name field. This number is written to the alternative name field.

If a number already exists, the numbering of new teachers begins with the biggest number found +1. The order refers to the entry order of the teacher master data.

Warning! Existing, non-numerical alternative names are overwritten by this function.

Example: In Ireland each teacher has to have a unique internal number for the output of the timetabling returns. This function assigns those numbers automatically and adds numbers for new teachers.
