Support

As Microsoft Access databases are stored in a single file (.mdb) we can maintain existing support structures without any problems.

A zipped *.mdb database is approximately as big as a comparable .gpn file and is therefore not too big to be sent by e-mail. The same applies to the backups of other supported databases.

Before you zip the .mdb file you can compress the database to reduce the size of the file. In order to do this, open the Untis.mdb file and go to menu item "File | Manage | Database utilities | Compact and repair database" (please also refer to chapter 'Database reorganisation') .

To transmit support data when using a MySQL or a MS SQL database, please make a backup with a database administration program and send this to your Untis partner.
